Maya Wrap Baby Slings are one of the most stunning and versatile baby slings available. Truly beautiful in every way, there is a reason the Maya Wrap is the most popular ring sling on the market today. Besides its sheer practical nature, Maya Wraps are an adjustable ring sling, making it very easy to use one sling for multiple-sized wearers. A Maya Wrap baby sling can be tighten or loosened with just a few changes to ring placement. Sewn from 100% woven cotton which is cool and breathable, the Maya Wrap has a lightly padded shoulder for maximum comfort but minimum bulk. The Maya Wrap is hand-loomed using fair trade labor in Guatemala.

Maya Wraps take practice, but were the best baby carrier for me.
I learned about this unstructured ring-sling style carrier when my baby was about three months old. Until then, I used a Baby Bjorn to carry her but it was starting to get painful as she got heavier. The Maya Wrap caught my eye because the fabric was gorgeous, and I saw a petite young woman using one with a very heavy toddler. Both parties appeared comfortable and serene, and I loved the bohemian vibe to the tail of fabric that hung down to her knees. — — My favorite thing about the Maya Wrap is its versatility. There are ways to carry newborns in a cradle position, older… read full review »

Infinite possiblities for a happy baby and happy parent
This is a product that one would expect a mother to review, but being a father of three young kids, I have to say that the Maya Wrap exceeded all of my expectations. When I first saw this “long piece of cloth with two sizable metal rings at one end” I was skeptical. Being a tech geek, I tend to gravitate to more contemporary solutions to age old problems - surely the Baby Bjorn type carriers (we did own a carrier from Medela - but did not find it as useful or comfortable) are more comfortable and practical than a simple piece of cloth from ages past. I was flat wrong! — After watching… read full review »

Do not have a baby without one!
I was fortunate enough to receive a Maya Wrap from a friend after the birth of my oldest. It took a little getting used to but the learning curve is steep and within a week, I felt comfortable wearing my baby every where I went. I continued to wear her in crowded places like the zoo and stores up until I got too far along ( and she got too heavy) in my second pregnancy. The new baby was in the wrap from day one and is still a fan of it (she’s 2) when hikes and trips to the zoo are too long for her. The thing I love about it is that closeness that I have with both of my… read full review »

REALLY low tech - takes some getting used to
I loved the Maya Wrap I chose when my first child was born. I could carry him in it from the time he was wee until he was way into his toddler years. As a baby, he was 19 lbs at 4 months, and my wrists were killing me. — — The Wrap has a long tail that can be tossed over your shoulder or used as a nursing drape. There is a built in pocket that velcros shut for the spare diaper or your car keys. I love this wrap. —… read full review »

A must have for every parent!
I would highly recommend the Maya Wrap baby carrier! It makes life with a baby so much easier! My son was “high need” and had asthma, and always wanted to be held. The Maya allowed for hands free carrying, so I could meet my sons needs and get a few things done around the house. I used the Maya until my son was almost 4 years old. It is great for nursing in public, as well. The fabrics are beautiful, and the handy velcro pouch is great for a diaper and your keys. It can take a little getting used to, but well worth the… read full review »

A truly durable, comfortable, and versatile sling.
My current Maya Wrap is my 3rd sling, and I really love it. I had used the Over the Shoulder Baby Holder prior to this, and like that a lot also. However, the Maya Wrap has a simpler overall design and I have become used to the lack of padding. I used this sling with my 3rd child from when he was a newborn until he was over 2 years old, and am now using it with my new baby. — I find this sling to be extremely durable. It is showing very little wear after 3 years of constant use. It contains a pocket in its “tail” — the fabric that hangs down through the… read full review »
